View Article  "Evidence" - Faith No More

By the time Faith No More's 1995 album King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime was made, longtime guitarist Jim Martin had left the band and been replaced by Trey Spruance, the axe-wielder for (you guessed it) Mr. Bungle.  Spruance, in turn, left the group before the supporting tour began.  And the guy that replaced him left the group before FNM's next studio release was recorded.

Confused yet?

In any case, "Evidence" is a big highlight from King... Fool.  If only "smooth jazz" radio sounded more like this.

I may be committing a bit of a breach of etiquette by posting two songs in one day, but I'm gonna do it anyway.  I hadn't planned on including a track from Bungle's 1995 album Disco Volante, but the HAL in me had other thoughts.  "I'm sorry Max, I can't do that."

It's probably the least accessible rock album I own, and it took quite a while to grow on me.  But eventually I came around and now I love it.  So here's a little MSaD bonus - "Desert Search for Techno Allah."

Introduction
Some of my online cohorts at the Songfight community decided to create blogs to highlight songs they like. I am now doing it as well, because I am a total lemming.

Songfight is a weekly songwriting competition based on titles provided by the site's administrators. I post there under the handle "Albatross." Go check it out. It's a gas.
My Own Noise
Can't sing my way out of a wet paper bag, but I play a few instruments with varying degrees of proficiency. As such, sometimes I record my own music. You can hear it here.
