Hard to believe I haven't posted a Neil Peart drum solo yet.  God I love that guy.

In 2003, Rush released the concert video Rush in Rio, which featured an extended Peart solo, the Grammy-nominated "O Baterista" - Portuguese for "the drummer."  Two years later they put out R30, a Frankfurt concert filmed during their 30th anniversary tour.  It featured a similar solo called "Der Trommler", which is German for - yeah, you got it.

Actually, the German word "trommler" is used to describe someone who plays a single drum.  A person playing a full kit is called a "schlagzeuger."

Anyway, since Rush in Rio had sub-par quality audio-wise, I am posting the solo from R30.  Beat on, Neil!
