On a couple of occasions, I have sung the praises of the band Raw Youth and their terrific album Hot Diggity.  Well lo and behold, one of the band's members, keyboardist/vocalist Flair Smithjones, was nice enough to stop by here and say howdy.  Huzzah!

Well, that is, assuming it really is you.  If this is some a-hole pulling a prank, that is so NOT funny.

I am not really anti-Bruce.  I'm not a fan, but I respect him.  I actually kinda like "Born to Run" and "Rosalita", and maybe a couple of others.  But yes, even he has made songs that reached the full-on loathing stage.

I was in high school when Born in the USA was released in 1984, and it was a massive success.  It seemed like everyone I knew was insane for it.  Problem was, I didn't like a single song I heard from it.  I didn't care much for the title track.  I didn't like "My Hometown", "I'm On Fire" or "Cover Me."  And even though Courtney Cox may disagree, I didn't like "Dancing in the Dark" either.

But I absolutely despised "Glory Days."  And guess what?  I still do.  Which wouldn't bother me nearly as much if it wasn't played constantly at baseball games.  I mean, geez Lou-freaking-ise, it's bad enough that my team blows.  Do you have to rub iodine in my wounds by playing this craptacular song?
