On a couple of occasions, I have sung the praises of the band Raw Youth and their terrific album Hot Diggity. Well lo and behold, one of the band's members, keyboardist/vocalist Flair Smithjones, was nice enough to stop by here and say howdy. Huzzah!
Don't be a stranger, Flair. There'll always be a porch light on for you.
Well, that is, assuming it really is you. If this is some a-hole pulling a prank, that is so NOT funny.

hey max! it really is me. i promise. let's see - how to prove it...
yes, it is KD Lang with Fred Schneider of the B52's in the video and we shot it on Jane Weidlin's ranch in Cali. By the way that's her bedroom we're all jumping around in and the large brown dog was hers as well. and the pigs. and the horse. I'm happy to continue the "Where Are They Now?" piece with you because you are a lot of fun. And yes, it is G D C, mostly. I co-wrote the chorus -to "Tame Yourself" my only writing credit on the album. Thanks again! Flair Re: Celebrity Guest Appearance!

you got it! no problem - it's a fun time...
Re: Re: Celebrity Guest Appearance!
BTW Flair, for some ungodly reason, this post of yours set off the spam flag. Maybe it was the mention of making a "video" and "jumping around" in the "bedroom"?
That's it, isn't it? You only came here to sell me Viagra, porn and Rolex watches! I KNEW IT!! Re: Re: Re: Celebrity Guest Appearance!

dude! i just checked in. what gives? i'm so sorry about the viagra...
it wasn't me. i promise. Is that you, Flair?
If so, then it's great to hear from you again!
My comment was made completely in jest. I really hope you didn't seriously think I was accusing you of spamming. You see, in the list of comments in my admin page there's a "spam flag" column where it marks posts that it thinks may be spam, and your comment had that flag marked. I reckoned that since it included references to a "video" with "jumping around" in the "bedroom" that the filter thought it was a porn spam. When I posted a Suicidal Tendencies song once, a brief discussion came about regarding "hardcore" punk, and all those posts set off the flag too. It's a pretty lame filter. I can set an option where it would automatically delete any post that sets off the flag. It should be obvious why I don't do that. Anyway, it's great to see that you're still hanging around. It was a genuine thrill to make contact with you and I hope you keep in touch. Again, the e-mail add is max AT SIGN THING dwyer DOT net. Re: Is that you, Flair?

Introduction
Some of my online cohorts at the Songfight community decided to create blogs to highlight songs they like. I am now doing it as well, because I am a total lemming.
Songfight is a weekly songwriting competition based on titles provided by the site's administrators. I post there under the handle "Albatross." Go check it out. It's a gas. My Own Noise
Can't sing my way out of a wet paper bag, but I play a few instruments with varying degrees of proficiency. As such, sometimes I record my own music. You can hear it here.
