Here is a song I very nearly posted during my "songs I like from albums I don't like" motif.  It's true, as successful as Pearl Jam's 1991 breakthrough album Ten was, I really didn't care much for it.  For the most part, I found it a little bit pretentious - and a whole lotta boring.

I know that opinion will rub some people the wrong way.  And even though this may be my anti-lead singer bias talking, I find Eddie Vedder to be, for lack of a better term, a twerp. People wanna call him a "god"?  Bulls**t.  Gods don't sing flat.

I like "Black" a lot, however.  This is the one Pearl Jam tune that kinda makes me understand why this band was so huge.

Kinda.

Oh, as a side note, a few days ago I posted my sixth song title that begins with the word "one."  Well, today marks the sixth song beginning with the word "black."  Make of that whatever you will.

Watch a fan-made video for "Black" on YouTube.  It's another one of those misheard lyrics ones.

Watch a live performance.
