Meh, no new theme as of yet.  I am completely bereft of new ideas.  I should be working in Hollywood.

Instead, I am putting up a kickass Oingo Boingo song I had never heard until about an hour ago.  Apparently this was recorded early in the band's career and never appeared on a major studio release.  It was part of some compilation album called L.A. In, about which I can't seem to find any information whatsoever.

It's amazing how often killer tracks like this get left off of major studio albums.  I may have discussed this topic before, but it bears repeating.  At some point, I guess it's determined that the song just doesn't "fit", but I don't think that's really true in this case.  This song would have been right at home on Only a Lad or Nothing to Fear.  Eh, oh well.  Perhaps they knew that 20 years later we'd have this weird technology that lets us hear and acquire music through network connections on a computer and we'd hear these unreleased gems happily and freely.

Yeah.  That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
